Today we read the book " Zen Ties." Can I just tell you that it hit me so hard? Throughout my whole life I have tried to serve others to the best of my ability because I knew that was what we were supposed to do as Christians. However, I never took into account how the people I was serving wanted things done or how hard it is to actually accept service. In "Zen Ties" the children change Mrs. Whitakers life and visa versa. Because they were patient and took the time to care about one another they become closer and realized who each other were.
It's a little like our class. Throughout the semester I have been changed just by the people I have met. I don't think you all realize how much you have changed my life for the better. Each and everyday when I see your faces they encourage me to become a more outgoing, kinder, and loving person. That is the whole point of this class. Brother Grant is helping us come together to see the bigger picture. We are in this "fight" of life together. We need to not leave anyone behind, but to build them up.
